QPR boss Harry Redknapp reckons missing out on Tottenham defender Michael Dawson sealed their fate this season.

Redknapp's former defender at Tottenham was on the Rs wanted list - but the club failed to persuade him to sign and plummeted to the foot of the table.

Redknapp said: "Before I came, no one saw QPR with four points from 13 games.

"If they had got Michael Dawson when they were trying to get him - they wouldn't be in this situation, and I wouldn't be here now."
