Harry Redknapp is excited to be taking the QPR job.

Redknapp, who helped perform the Great Escape with Portsmouth in 2006, insisted he is excited by the scale of the job at Loftus Road.

And he admitted he was close to becoming Ukraine's coach.

Redknapp said: "It's still the Premier League, a great league to be in. I was almost on my way to Ukraine.

"But this job changed everything around. My message to the QPR fans is that I will give it everything I've got - I can only do my best."
