Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed he's wrapping up a deal for AS Monaco striker Eidur Gudjohnsen.
Gudjohnsen, 31, has agreed a loan deal until the end of the season subject to a medical this morning.
Tottenham will pay £30,000 a week with Iceland hitman Gudjohnsen's club Monaco making up the rest.
The former Chelsea star has snubbed West Ham to join Spurs.
Redknapp revealed to The Sun: "We've been talking about him for nearly two weeks and when we heard West Ham were interested we made our move.
"We are not paying a penny more than West Ham were offering him.
"Two identical deals were on the table. In the end it was a straight choice for Eidur."
