QPR boss Harry Redknapp has defended his team's slow season start.
Redknapp returns to former club West Ham United on Sunday with the team boasting just one win in their first six matches and sitting in the relegation zone.
He said: "We have been a little too open and teams are getting at our back four too easily. We need to tighten up but it's been difficult because I have brought midfield players into the club and they have never been fit to play together at one time.
"I haven't really seen Sandro on the pitch yet - I brought him in as a top player and he's only played a little bit. Jordan Mutch has been injured, Leroy Fer is getting up to speed now and I'm sure he will be a top player for us.
"We need those players fit. We just haven't been able to get a settled team and get them on the pitch together."
