Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp insists his players have the bottle to compete for a top four place.
Redknapp believes they have the necessary character to maintain a challenge.
"I don't know what they learned (from the Anfield defeat) but they are all experienced international players," Redknapp said. "We missed Aaron Lennon as he's the one player who has pace and can go past people."
Redknapp refuted suggestions his side lacked the conviction to win the game.
"We all thought we could win and we played with a very open and attacking team," he added. "We are a team that go to places and look to win. We've got a good away record - but not last night."
Despite being linked with the likes of Ruud van Nistelrooy, Redknapp said he did not expect to be active in the transfer window.
"I'd be surprised if we signed anyone, very surprised," he revealed.
