Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has brought together a star-studded backroom staff at White Hart Lane.
Clive Allen, Kevin Bond, Joe Jordan, Tim Sherwood, Les Ferdinand and Tony Parkes, the goalkeeping coach, are all working for Redknapp this season.
Asked how it all goes down, Allen told the Telegraph: "Joe is very good on the analysis side. He watches the opposition and studies the stats to prepare for the next game, while Kevin, as a former centre-half, can look at the way we defend.
"I might do some finishing sessions with Joe, but when Les comes in he'll maybe work on his own with an individual. If Jermain [Defoe], for example, wants to do something specific, Les might do that with him."
Bond works as Redknapp's No2 and adds: "In some ways lads like Tim and Les can relate to the players more than Joe and I can. We finished 20 years ago, whereas they only finished four or five years back and probably would have played with or against a lot of the players out there now.
"It seems to be operating well for us. But this is the most insecure business in the world, so that's probably why a lot of managers don't bring in a lot of coaches."
