Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp admits lying to his players to try to get them up for their draw with Stoke City.
Redknapp told his troops that both Arsenal and Chelsea were leading at half-time of their parallel games against Everton and Manchester City - even though it was actually goalless at Eastlands at the time.
He said: "I told them at half-time Chelsea and Arsenal were winning. I said: 'We need a win lads.' Chelsea weren't winning, but I said, 'A draw's no good, we need to be positive, let's get after them.'"
