Neil Redfearn has made it clear that he intends to give everything to get the Leeds United managerial role permanently.

The 46-year old has been appointed as the West Yorkshire club's caretaker following the sacking of Simon Grayson during the week and after stepping up from the youth team role, is looking to be kept in the senior position, although the short-term is what's mor important.

"I am capable that goes without saying, but the bottom line is the decision is up to the club. The decision is out of my hands," he said ahead of the weekend's clash with Bristol City.

"From my point of view I am only interested in Saturday's game and making sure everything's ready for whatever happens and whatever happens I will take it in my stride.

"I am not putting myself under any pressure either way.

"I am in this position now and I have still got a lot of good friends at this club that I want to help through in the short-term future, and if I can get some results for Leeds United and if that benefits whatever happens then great."
