Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has jumped to the defence of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez over his biting controversy. The Reds star has received intense criticism from the press and the entire football world for his bite on Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini.
But speaking to Reddit Tyson sympathised with Suarez, and claimed that he understood why the Liverpool bit the Juventus defender.
He said: "Suarez's bite? I understand it, it was a blackout moment which can happen at times.
"It was just one moment in which the competition can make the blood in your veins boil and it overpowers your rationality.
"Sometimes you become something that you are not."
