Macoumba Kandji has signed a deal with Red Bull New York. Kandji originally joined the club on loan from the United Soccer League First Division's Atlanta Silverbacks on Sept. 15, 2008. To acquire Kandji on a permanent basis, the Red Bulls paid an undisclosed transfer fee.

"We liked what we saw from Mac during his time on loan with us," said Red Bull New York Sporting Director Jeff Agoos. "Mac has shown that he is capable of playing at a higher level and we look forward to his contribution in the future."
