Celtic have confirmed the biggest kit deal in their history, signing a 'long-term' agreement with New Balance, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The partnership will begin at the start of the 2015/16 season. New Balance replaces Nike, which has supplied Celtic with kit for a decade.
New Balance is believed to have committed a sum significantly higher than the £5 million per season deal the club had with Nike.
"New Balance is one of the world's leading sportswear manufacturers and will cater for the huge global demand for Celtic kit. Importantly our cultures match well," said Peter Lawwell, Celtic's chief executive, as the deal was confirmed on Thursday.
"While New Balance is relatively new to football, its sporting heritage dates back over 100 years and there is huge excitement around the brand and its ambitions globally."
Celtic join the likes of Liverpool, Stoke City and Sevilla in partnering with New Balance.
