Premiership record breaker Edwin van der Sar deflected praise to his Manchester United teammates after his cleansheets success.
The Dutchman, who has seen eight different defenders aid the run, insisted: "It's a great team effort, because we had a lot of players injured. Jonny Evans has been fantastic. Rafael played some games, John O'Shea came in for Patrice Evra. It shows our strength in depth.
"The defence is the platform. At the start of the season, it was all about Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov and Carlos Tevez - but you need everything.
"And to set a record like this you need your midfield to work hard and track back. You need the defenders - and a keeper who makes a save once in a while! I've kept the match ball. Outfield players do it when they score three - so I might as well take it home.
"I had a couple of records in Holland - 10 games without a goal, and a Champions League record of nine games - so it is good. But we want to be holding something in our hands at the end of the season."
