Recoba determined to revive career at Torino

Alvaro Recoba admits he's joined Torino to revive his flagging club career.

The Inter Milan attacker signed for Torino on-loan on Friday morning and declared: "This is a great opportunity for me.

"I cannot wait to make myself useful for the team.

"I arrive at a great club, a club that has written many pages in the history of Italian and world football.

"I hope I will be given more playing time and if things go well, there's no reason why we cannot finish in the high positions in the standings."

At Torino, Recoba teams up with coach Walter Novellino, who already guided the striker while on loan at Venezia in the 1998-99 campaign.

"Novellino is a man that has brought out the best in me in Italian football," said Recoba.
