REALLY? Three-match ban for New York Red Bulls defender Marquez

New York Red Bulls defender Rafa Marquez has been hit with a three-match ban for his kick on Shea Salinas.

San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Salinas' left clavicle was broken in four pieces when he hit the ground, and he's expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks.

"The New York Red Bulls fully support MLS' Disciplinary Committee and its review process. We accept the League's decision,'' the club said in a statement. "Rafa is an important player for us and we are looking forward to him being available for selection after his suspension ends.''
