Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers insists his squad are capable of WINNING the Champions League. Rodgers is hoping his misfiring side can get the win they need against Group B rivals Basel at Anfield to make the last 16.
And the Northern Irishman will not rule out being a real threat next February when the knockout stages come around.
He said: "Once you get through the group stage anything can happen.
"I know come February, when it starts again, we will be a better team because of the players we'll have available if we manage to get through."
He added: "We have seen that the best team doesn't always win the competition.
"You can get a good draw, a bit of luck and, as I've said, we will have a good side that can do well come February I am sure."
