Juventus will cough up big for departing Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, despite him being a free transfer.
Officially the deal will be designated as a free transfer, but the Old Lady have divulged the true value.
Juventus will pay Can and any agent fees a total of £14m (€16m) after the 24-year-old penned a four-year contract.
“Emre Can has signed with the Bianconeri to officially join the club on July 1 2018 on a four-year deal," an official statement from Juventus read.
“As a result of the signature of the agreement, Juventus will incur additional costs of 16 million euros (£14million) to be paid over the next two financial years."
Can knocked back the offer of a new contract at Anfield and as well as the eye-watering signing-on bonus, the former Bayern Munich star stands to pocket around €4m per season.
