Espanyol are chasing Real Zaragoza striker Sergio Garcia.

The pacy forward, 24, is a former Barcelona trainee and has struggled to break Victor Fernandez's first-choice attack of Ricardo Oliveira and Diego Milito this season.

Garcia is contracted to Zaragoza until 2011 and his deal carries a £12 million buyout clause. Espanyol hope they can sign the striker at the end of the season for a reasonable fee.
