Real Zaragoza are chasing Colombia star Jackson Martinez.
Martinez is tied to Independiente Medellin and is already the subject of a £1 million offer from managerless Zaragoza.
Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is also keen and has the spending power to trump Zaragoza to land his namesake.
Medellin are ready to cash in and along with Zaragoza, also have fielded an offer from Argentina's Racing de Avellaneda.
