Real Sociedad striker Carlos Vela is breaking records in Spain.
The former Arsenal attacker moved second in the list of Mexicans who have made the most appearances in La Liga after featuring in the stalemate against Villarreal.
Vela racked up his 164th appearance in the Spanish top flight, thereby moving ahead of Rafael Márquez.
He is still a long, long way off Hugo Sánchez, who played 347 times in La Liga.
