Real Sociedad have signed Espanyol striker Raul Tamudo.

The veteran forward moves to Real on a season-long loan.

The 32-year-old departed from Catalan club Espanyol at the end of the 2009-10 campaign after spending his previous entire footballing career with the Barcelona-based club.

Tamudo joins fellow Spanish striker Joseba Llorente at the Anoeta as this summer's another major signing for the former two-time Spanish champions.
