Real Sociedad have expressed interest in former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes.

Fichajes.com says Real have made contact with Valdes about a one-year contract offer, but received little encouragement.

Valdes is currently recovering from a knee injury, which has seen AS Monaco pull out of a pre-contract deal this summer.

The experienced keeper has been linked with Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich in recent days.
