Real Sociedad defender Raul Navas insists he did not seek to deliberately hurt Ousmane Dembele in Sunday's defeat to Barcelona.
Navas' poorly judged tackle gave Dembele a sprained ankle injury, though the France attacker declared last night he was confident being fit for the World Cup.
Navas, however, insisted: "Regarding what happened yesterday, it was a fast action, on which I played the ball fairly well and unfortunately I hit Dembélé.
"It was a very ugly tackle, which does not look like me. At no time did I want to hurt him and I apologised twice on the field. I want to express my support for Dembélé, I hope he will come back soon and I can see him at the World Cup as a rocket with his country."
