Luis Gil has joined Real Salt Lake after being traded from Kansas City Wizards who won him in a weighted lottery.

The Wizards received a 2-11 second round draft pick, an international roster spot and a piece of any transfer fees that are likely to come when the starlet makes the move to Europe.

The U17 & U20 USA international and 2009 US Soccer Young Athlete of the Year is set for a big future in the game and will begin his professional career with the reigning champions before an imminent move to Europe.

Clubs such as Arsenal and Real Madrid have already expressed interest in the teenage midfielder who will further his development in the MLS environment this year.
