Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando has signed a new contract extension.

Rimando had a year left on his previous deal and was earning $131,000-a-year.

"It's official, done, signed, and supposed to be delivered to the league" for approval, he told KALL 700 AM, the team-owned radio station.

Real Salt Lake are now working on an extension for defender Nat Borchers.
