Real Salt Lake have acquired the services of Kwame Watson-Siriboe from Chicago Fire in exchange for a draft pick.
The 25-year old defender was selected by the Fire in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft but struggled to make an impact at Toyota Park and has now been given the opportunity to continue his development with RSL who have a few injuries in central defence at the moment.
"He's still young and quite inexperienced, doesn't have a whole lot of MLS matches, first-team matches, under his belt. But he has been playing now for several years. I feel like he could be a real nice addition for us and give us some much-needed depth.""I think everybody's seen that we have a dearth of center backs right now," said RSL head coach Jason Kreis. "So, we've been talking about it actually for a couple of weeks, trying to get another one in.
Watson-Siriboe heads to Rio Tinto Stadium with a 2014 first-round selection in the MLS SuperDraft heading Chicago's way.
