Real Madrid's Robinho delighted with "important" brace

Robinho was delighted to strike twice for Real Madrid in their battling 3-2 victory at Recreativo Huelva last night.

Real's win - and Barcelona's defeat at Atletico Madrid - stretched their lead at the top of the Spanish Liga table to five points and Robinho said afterwards: "In this case the result is most important for me because we once and for all needed to break the bad run of form by winning in Huelva. I leave by all means very happy with our comeback. Personally I am well, thanks to both goals that I have scored."

On Barca's slip-up, Robinho insisted: "I repeat that we depend on ourselves. We have now secured a five point advantage, which is most important and we continue to work towards our objectives, which are to be champions of the Liga and the Champions League at the end of the season."
