Real Madrid's Ramos delivers bombshell: I do not enjoy playing

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has opened up over his frustrations with his form this season.

Ramos hit out at the tactics of coach Bernd Schuster and admitted he was "not enjoying playing" this term.

The defender told AS: "I'm very happy with the three years in Madrid and I think I've had a very high performance. People compare me with past performances and if I do not look the same, then people criticize.

"I mark myself between 6.5 and 7. And yes I think I can get to 9, as in other seasons.

"If I'm sincere, I do not now enjoy playing. Before I had the support of David Beckham and people who worked on the right and helped me a lot. Today, I am very very lonely on the flank and I'm being left on my own.

"Sergio is always the one who is wrong when goals go against us, even though I am left without cover. But I live with that and work to improve and solve this."

Despite his frustrations, Ramos says he is ready to sign his lifetime deal with Real. He added: "The club is talking with my brother. We were told it was going to be settled before Christmas.

"That gives me stability, tranquility and it would be a great recognition. People treat me with great affection."
