Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero is baulking at a loan move to Blackburn Rovers.

The Ewood Park club have asked the 24-year-old to join and put himself in the shop window.

Granero is prepared to quit Real - where manager Jose Mourinho has frozen him out - but he is aiming to secure a better home than struggling Rovers - although the Lancashire club are going to push hard to change his mind.
