Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago has declared their title bid "is on".

The Argentina international said: "Two months ago we were the worst and now we are fighting with Barcelona, who were breaking all records, for the title.

"We must remain calm, think of the Clasico (against Atletico Madrid) on Saturday, they will come to win and have done well, it will be a nice game, but we need to keep trying to close the gap, if Barcelona lose again.

"El Kun (Sergio Aguero) is dangerous for everyone, we know how to play him and what he likes to do, we will try to control him, but we have to play our game more at home."
