Asked about reports linking Casillas with a £25 million move to Tottenham, Codina said: "I think that Iker is worth more than £25 million.
"It is a lot of money for a goalkeeper but I think that he is worth more than £25 million."
The bad news for 24-year-old Codina is that Casillas is just two years older than him, and no matter what the shot-stopper might secretly hope for, he admits he does not believe Casillas will be leaving the Bernabeu anytime soon.
"Iker is an icon for Real Madrid. I don't think that he wants to go or that he should go," Codina said.
"He is the best goalkeeper in the world, he is doing very well and he is well thought of."
When asked if that it would be beneficial for him for Casillas to leave, a smiling Codina responded: "Yes it would, but I think that Iker is a great goalkeeper and I don't think that he should leave Madrid.
"Real Madrid are the best team in the world and have to have the best players and if Iker is not the best, he is among the three best goalkeepers in the world."
