Real Madrid Castilla star Denis Cheryshev has won a call-up to the senior Russia squad.

Cheryshev is being linked with Reading and Zenit St Petersburg this season.

"I wasn't expecting it. From here I want to thank all my teammates in Castilla and Alberto Toril because it's also thanks to them," he said.
