Real Madrid won't sell controversial defender Pepe

Real Madrid are standing by defender Pepe.

Controversy in the Copa against Barcelona has cast doubt on Pepe's future at Real and he has been linked with Chelsea.

But Marca TV says Pepe's on-field qualities are still regarded highly inside Real and there are no plans of offloading him in the summer.

The Portugal international has a contract with Real until 2016.
