Chelsea will struggle to convince Gareth Bale to leave Real Madrid in 2015.
The Daily Express says Bale is no longer a guaranteed first-team starter following Isco's terrific performances in midfield, and it was understood that Jose Mourinho was preparing an eye-watering bid to secure the Welshman's signature at the end of the season.
The Special One was willing to pay as much as £90m for Bale's services, whilst also paying out a staggering £60m-worth of wages on a long-term deal.
However, reports in Spain claim that Bale wants to stay with Los Blancos and win his place back in Carlo Ancelotti's side, although it is understood that Chelsea will continue to follow his progress throughout the remainder of the campaign.
