Real Madrid wing-back Marcelo is confident Cristiano Ronaldo will remain his teammate next season.

Ronaldo is due to return for preseason amid claims he is unsettled.

But Marcelo says: "Cristiano Ronaldo? I do not worry, because a lot of things in the press are wrong.

"Cristiano knows that staying in Madrid is the best thing for him. We have a very good relationship, not only on the ground but also outside. He is a great professional and for me he is the best player in the world.

"No matter what decision he will take this year or 10 years from now, I will always be there to support him."
