Marcelo is seen as Real's weak link ahead of the Champions League final.
"I know exactly what I have to do, and I know what I need to do to help my team," asserted Marcelo on Friday.
"Liverpool are a magnificent team and have had a great season. We have to think about the whole team, not just one or two players, that is how you win games.
"It is a great opportunity to play in the final, and we're here, as are Liverpool who also deserve it."
Reds coach Jurgen Klopp has gone as far as saying that Marcelo 'does not defend' in the build-up to Saturday's final but the Brazilian is non-plussed by any analysis of his style.
"I haven't heard him say it, but heard about it," he noted. "Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
"I am happy with my work, as are my teammates, the coach and those within the national team too. I do my work with modesty and humility, and have nothing to prove to anyone."
