Bolton Wanderers are in advanced talks over Real Madrid pair Marcos Alonso and Rodrigo Moreno.

The Mirror says Bolton were interested in taking left back Alonso and striker Rodrigo on loan, but Real are willing to sell them for £5 million with a buy-back option.

Wanderers supremo Phil Gartside jetted to Spain to discuss the deal with Real sporting director Jorge Valdano at the weekend - and the signs are good that the double swoop can be sealed fast.

The Spanish under-20 internationals have been on Bolton's radar for months and the two want to come to the Premier League to advance their careers.
