Real Madrid willing to sell 16 first teamers
Real Madrid are ready to sell up to 16 players in the summer, it has been revealed. Sport says Real presidential candidate Florentino Perez and his management team are prepared for a massive clearout should he win the election.
The only players who are safe are goalkeeper Iker Casillas, defenders Pepe and Sergio Ramos, the midfielder Lassana Diarra and forwards Arjen Robben and Ruud van Nistelrooy. Offers will be invited for the rest of the squad, including stalwarts Raul and Guti, plus Dutch trio Wesley Sneijder, Rafael van der Vaart and Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
Among Perez's management team will be former Real sports director Jorge Valdano and Zinedine Zidane, who will take a job with the club's youth setup.
