Real Madrid have joined Manchester United in the battle for Benfica whizkid Renato Sanches.
AS says Sanches has become a target for La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Benfica have twice moved to raise his release clause. First, it went up from €30 million to €45 million - with his contract also extended until 2021.
And as soon as Madrid's interest became apparent, that buy-out figure was in turn increased to €80 million, the highest in the Primeira Liga.
However, Benfica would accept any offer above €60 million for Renato - a price that would constitute the most expensive deal in the history of Portuguese football, eclipsing FC Porto's €55 million sale of Hulk to Russians Zenit St. Petersburg.
