Real Madrid are expected to buy Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente in the summer.
While there's speculation that Real coach Jose Mourinho hopes to sign on-loan Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor permanently, tribalfootball.com has learned a deal is all but in place for Llorente to be the Madrid club's major centre-forward signing this summer.
Fernando García Macua, the Bilbao president, has declared he hopes to secure Llorente's signature to a new deal before the elections.
However, even if Llorente does re-sign, it's understood he will be sold to Real immediately after the club's presidential elections.
Any move to Madrid before the vote is a non-starter as Garcia Macua needs Llorente's presence to be assured of re-election.
