Real Madrid aren't panicking over delays regarding Xabi Alonso's new contract.

Marca says both parties have agreed to take a break from negotiations during June and Real are confident of eventfully reaching an agreement.

Xabi has a year to run on his current deal, but is happy in Madrid and gets along well with Real president Florentino Perez.

Real intend to offer a two-year contract extension, so keeping Xabi at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2016.
