Real Madrid are raiding La Masia to boost their academy staff.

With an offer on the table for ex-Deportivo La Coruna coach Victor Fernandez to run Real's academy, Sport says former Barcelona youth coach Narcis Julia would join him as his assistant.

Julia was the former football director of Barca and worked side-by-side with sacked sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta.

Should Victor take the Real job, Julia is expected to follow him.

The pair have worked together at Real Zaragoza, Tenerife, Celta, Betis, Deportivo, Porto and Ghent.
