Real Madrid turn to Bayern Munich veteran Klose as striker stop-gap

Real Madrid are eyeing a move for Bayern Munich veteran Miroslav Klose. Real president Florentino Perez has caved into coach Jose Mourinho's demands of a new striker signing this winter market after seeing Gonzalo Higuain ruled out for the season due to back surgery.

Sport says Klose has come under notice for Real chiefs, with the striker not ruling out a surprise move to Madrid.

The veteran suits the characteristics Real are seeking this month, as Perez is reluctant to splash out on a major name.
