Real Madrid trebling Benzema's Lyon wages

Olympique Lyon striker Karim Benzema will see his salary triple at Real Madrid.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas admits they couldn't compete with Real's spending power, with Benzema moving to the Santiago Bernabeu for terms worth over £7.5 million-a-year.

Aulas accepted a £38 million offer from Real on Wednesday night for the striker.

real can never go bankrupt, unfortunately. the city council will bail them out like they did when they bought real madrid's training ground for a ridiculous fee then loaned it back to them.
