Real Madrid are in the market for a left-back signing ahead of the January transfer window.

Having sent away on-loan Theo Hernandez to Real Sociedad and failing to be convinced by Marcelo, Real coach Julen Lopetegui has told president Florentino Perez they need to strengthen the left-side of his defence as soon as they can.

Don Balon says on Real's radar is Porto fullback Alex Telles. Real have extensive scouting reports on Telles, having followed the Brazilian since his time with Galatasaray.

Lopetegui is also a fan and has approved the move - if Porto are prepared to sell. Telles' arrival could see Marcelo choose to leave for Juventus in the New Year.
