Real are still in the market for an attacking right-back after being frustrated in their pursuit of Inter Milan's Douglas Maicon. Now Rafinha is under consideration as an alternative.
Rafinha came close to signing for Barcelona, while starring with Schalke, before making the move to Genoa last summer.
Real coach Jose Mourinho is a big fan of Rafinha and considered the Brazilian while in charge of Inter.
