Real Madrid are tracking Bordeaux fullback Benoit Tremoulinas.

The 23 year-old is seen by Real as an alternative to Fiorentina defender Juan Manuel Vargas as they seek a new left-back for the January market.

Tremoulinas is being tracked by Real GM Jorge Valdano, who knows coach Manuel Pellegrini's team needs a quality left-back to maintain their challenge at home and in Europe.
