Real Madrid to let James Rodriguez join Chelsea in exchange for Hazard

Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to send James Rodriguez to Chelsea if they can get Eden Hazard in return.

According to The Sun, the Spanish giants could offload Colombian attacking midfielder Rodriguez who has not lived up to expectations since his move from Monaco in the summer of 2014.

Real boss Zinedine Zidane is a known admirer of Blues playmaker Hazard, who has labelled the Frenchman as his boyhood idol, and may look to strike a deal with the West London club which would see the two players simply swap clubs.

Belgium international Hazard has been well below his best this season after starring in Chelsea's Premier League triumph last term, clinching a number of individual awards including the Premier League Player of the Year.

Despite that drop in form, the Madrid giants are planning a summer move for 25-year-old Hazard, who would reportedly cost in excess of £100million, and the potential availability of 24-year-old Rodriguez, who is valued at £70m, could see the two clubs involved in a sensational player exchange deal.
