Real Madrid tie poised at half-time says Man Utd's van Persie

Robin van Persie feels Manchester United and Real Madrid are evenly poised following their Champions League Round of 16 first leg.

The Red Devils led when Danny Welbeck netted in the 20th minute at the Santiago Bernabeu but former United ace Cristiano Ronaldo levelled for Real ten minutes later and van Persie suggests both sides have an even chance of moving through to the quarter-finals .

"Slightly (we have an advantage), (but) at this level these kind of teams don't really care if they play home or away," he told Sky Sports 2.

"We don't really care; they don't really care. It's half-time and we will be ready for the second half.

"It was a good result away from home. People who have watched the game have seen chances for both sides. It was a great game to watch."
