Real Madrid tell Arsenal: €35M for Higuain

Arsenal have registered their interest with Real Madrid for striker Gonzalo Higuain. Marca says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger sees Higuain as an ideal strike-partner for Robin van Persie and intends to move for the Argentina international in the summer - if not sooner this month.

Real have informed Arsenal they want to keep Higuain, though would be prepared to sell him for a price in the region of €35 million.

Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas could come into play, with Real and Barcelona both chasing the midfielder for next season.
