Carlos Tevez is desperate to sign permanently with Manchester United. Real Madrid are understood to be long-term admirers and even Manchester City have been linked with a move, but Tevez says he wants to stay at Old Trafford.
"I have the head start in Manchester and my idea is to stay here for a few more years," Tevez told Argentina's Radio del Plata. "It is very difficult to leave one of the world's biggest clubs.
"We've had talks with Manchester, but nothing has been signed yet. Both sides have decided to wait for June to find a definitive solution. The conversations have been with the (directors) and not with (manager Sir Alex) Ferguson."
